If you’ve got a relative who is over 90 years old, and still cognitive, go and ask them what being ill was like in Britain before the Labour Party created the #NHS
They will tell you “it was f*cking awful”.
Don’t believe the propaganda of #Sunak or the Conservatives or their enablers. All they want to do is profit from our misery. #ProtectTheNHS

@Urban_Tribesman my mum would have been 100 next year

She remembered my granny having to save up half a crown (which was probably the equivalent of a few hundred quid now) to take her to the eye hospital so she could get a persistent infection that wouldn't go finally cured

She had a weakness and couldn't take bright light all her life

She was a nurse and thought the NHS was one of the best things that ever happened.

My Sister became a Nurse at age 16 (a Cadet Nurse as they were called then). That was in 1967. She’s 71 now, and still working as an NHS nurse. People like her, with their dedication to duty & caring for others is priceless but nursing salaries have dropped to a level 20.54% below the value they were when the Tories came to power in 2010.
