Now that I have a fibre connection coming into the house I think I need to upgrade from my old google Wi-Fi mesh network to something capable of a bit more through-put and better network management tools. Am I insane for considering unifi stuff given the price? I probably need 3-4 APs given the thickness of the walls and wanting to connect to the garage and studio buildings which are both a little bit away from the main house. Network stuff really isn’t my area of expertise.
@stu I have one of their long range ones that's OK, I also have the original one I bought that was iffy. I'm keeping it for when we finally sell this house and I might need multiple APs. They configure quite nicely with a phone app and can be powered with Power over Ethernet for less clutter, fwiw.
