@francis If it's a Mastodon, I'd suggest switching to Akkoma but the migration might take some finagling and some fancy rewrite rules. But it's been rock solid for me and never causes trouble.
My worry is losing all the follows and followers, not to bothered about messages as such as they are ephemeral anyway.
@francis Oh, that’s the easy part - set up your new server, issue a Move from the old one (which is probably in the settings as “move to another account” or something) and then your followers will move to that new account. For follows, you can export them from Mastodon as a CSV and import them into Akkoma. Should be straightforward.
