I have been experiencing an incredible allergic reaction to bug bites. I can't take antihistamines at all due to a medical issue and I have tried everything I know of to stop the extreme itching, swelling and welts (when I inevitably scratch), it lasts for many days and is very problematic. Anyone else have this experience and what did you do to remedy the situation?

@vickietorious a friend uses soluble aspirin in water on cotton wool to reduce swelling and discomfort. Or maybe paracetamol? Or ibuprofen? Depends on what you can tolerate.
