Hey friends, I was chatting with Aleya the other day, and she mentioned that she doesn't use Mastodon as she'd heard that it has incorporated the React code from Meta. Are you aware of this? How do you square this? Is Mastodon not as free from the Meta infrastructure as we thought? This was new to me, so I'm curious...

@solarpunkpresents ? React is a library. Might have been created by Meta but it’s now run by the React Foundation and hosted by the Linux Foundation.
The foundation is a bunch of companies. I wouldn’t be over happy working with myself though, to be honest.
