@Radical_EgoCom correct me if I'm misremembering but I read that Japanese rail worker went on strike and ran the place normally except for not charging the customers, seemed a best of both worlds solution
@Radical_EgoCom @slowmart iirc in the UK doing that is illegal because the powers that be don’t want sympathy with the strikers.

Well, there only one way to make striking legal in a place where it's illegal, and it's the same way it became legal in all the places where it's currently legal, and that way is to just strike anyway. Strike efficiently, strike tactically, and risk facing whatever potential danger or threats the state may bring towards you. That is ultimately the only way to make striking legal.
