Something I learned about diversity, from DEIB training at Google of all places, is that diverse teams have more conflict, and this is good because it leads to better decisions.
And that's why I dismiss people when they sing the praises of Nordic countries. They are able to get things done because their people have similar backgrounds and largely think alike. They play being countries on the easiest mode, and that can never point the way forward.
The way forward is to figure out collective decision-making in the presence of diversity.
