@esther capitalism is built on ownership and therefore inequality. The systems we suffer under come out of this engine. You can’t have massive wealth without disgusting poverty. The relative comfort in the global north is also built on obscene amounts of suffering in the south that we never see.

At the same time, it’s riven with untamed instability and crisis used to beat the 99% with and keep them down. Along with actual murder and violence, of course.

@rbreich in Britain they keep reviving the 1970 “wage price spiral” nonsense. The words are the wrong way round. No-one has had a wage rise.

Doing nothing to prevent infections isn’t very bright. We are causing high levels of long term disability. This is causing labour shortages and also adding to inflation. The policy of pretending covid is over is damaging our economy.

"Ninety years on from the Enablement Act that gave rise to the most monstrous political movement in history, Britain is about to replicate the frightful final flourishes from the Nazi playbook on establishing a fascist authoritarian regime..."

Terrible predatory forces are eating away at the country. The corporatists, militarists and political mandarins that serve them are the enemy. It is not our job to make them more appealing, but to destroy them.

@Baddiel The man on the right has spent the last 8 years smearing the man on the left as racist. And people take him seriously.

That's how f*cked up this country is.

Corbyn has 'unconscious bias' claims Baddiel, neatly encapsulating the sheer absurdity of the hate campaign against Corbyn.
How does Baddiel know what's in Corbyn's head?
It's almost as if Baddiel has 'unconscious bias' against Corbyn...
It all just gets sillier and sillier.

you know what would be nice? If people would stop saying that conference talks or videos count as documentation

Security agents linked to London mayor Sadiq Khan “spied” on a group of environmental activists and blocked them from participating in a public debate over his environment wrecking plans for a hideously polluting new car tunnel under the Thames.

Vote Labour = Get Tory. It really is that simple.

Come May give voting for common sense solutions to the problems we all face a go instead — #VoteGreen💚

'As soon as inflation tumbles the suggestion will be made that there is no need for inflationary pay rises. That, of course, will be nonsense. Falling inflation does not reduce absolute price levels. Only deflation does that.'
