🧵Teachers Strikes and disinformation, this figure of 140k missing "ghost children" who never returned to education is an outright lie that has become an alternative "fact" of the pandemic https://twitter.com/karren_brady/status/1652744046635282432
@synaptyx it’s bullshit AI, I think. Google & Duck Duck starting to become unusable too.
@bobthomson70 I lost the will to live. They sent a £15 per shop bribe but if you can’t actually shop pretty pointless.
If you want a laugh try shopping for Morrisons groceries on Amazon
"peppers"
Cayenne pepper and all sorts of condiments
"salad peppers mixed"
Some pre-sliced peppers, leeks, wonky potatoes
But not the packs of 3 peppers that are the first result when you shop through Morrison's own site.
I think some fool has plugged Chat-GPT in and it's trying to create a shopping narrative instead of just showing you actual stuff you might want.

Some days I wish these idiots would just shut up. What’s the betting they’re trying to flog some kind of mindfulness program?

But the empire is not passive, it is not innocent, and it is primarily responsible for the extremely dangerous current and emerging conflicts we are seeing on the world stage. The US empire is imperiling us all with its last-ditch frantic scramble to secure unipolar planetary hegemony before multipolarity takes over, https://open.substack.com/pub/caitlinjohnstone/p/the-single-dumbest-thing-the-empire?r=cfvq7&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=post
I visited a #FoodBank yesterday (as part of a Report for Work, not thankfully as a client)
It was decorated with Charles III images and bunting.
Nothing says Britain 2023 than a Food Bank celebrating a Billionaire with a Gold Hat that we're all paying for.
It's estimated the #Coronation will cost up to £100m, paid for by the taxpayer. There's no legal need for one. Charles is king without it. No other European monarchy bothers. The last one in Spain was in 1555. The Scandinavian monarchies deemed it unnecessary by 1906.

@incitatus I think this also makes it clear that the process in these cases is guilty until proven innocent. The fact of the record can’t even be expunged says a lot about this.
Anyone who disagrees with your political opinion can seek to have your children taken into care by social services on that basis. Authorities must launch an investigation, permanently recorded regardless of outcome. The vexatious complainant remains anonymous and free of consequence. But we’re not a fascist state, allegedly.
'Lack of democracy is precisely the problem with the UK and fixing that starts with abolishing the parasitical royal family. Yet the tragic thing is, I would grudgingly pledge allegiance to a king if he would say during his coronation something like: “Today, rough sleeping and homelessness ends. There will be no more homeless people in this country. The state will provide.”
Imagine having a leader who would say something like that. If only…'

The Tories have already won in the sense that their ideology is now so deeply embedded in their main opposition that they can lose elections for a generation and still have their interests advanced - as they did under New Labour. https://twitter.com/labourlewis/status/1652670545396129792
