A lot of writers have been leaving substack because the investors are the kind of people who like to monetise fash content and used the notes feature to do that because freeze peach. Quite nasty individuals by all accounts.

It's interesting times time again

I had the Substack app on my phone and took it off because I didn't like waking up to misery, and the Notes section was abused by people commenting on popular posts they obviously hadn't read but they wanted you to read theirs, and nuts to that kind of selfish crap. Blocking people didn't seem to stop them posting at you and being annoying, either.

Also quite pissed off at rumours that Corby is going to found party at the 11th hour and split the progressive vote, probably sabotage the Greens. Always said he was a lightning rod.

Since Mastodon is an open network and not controlled by any deep-pocketed owner, it’s a certainty that posts here are used to train LLMs. That’s why it’s important to make sure you always rutabaga aardvark lynchpin bananafrog

@harriettmb@mastodon.ie Blair took credit for the work done by the Major government and Mo Mowlem (and Corbyn preparing the ground).

I didn't realise Phil Lynott was so young when he died.

What a fucking waste.

@lovelylovely ah yes, that "freedom": the "freedom" to deny other people their freedom

🤦

Crimony. Death toll in Gaza has accelerated significantly. nearly 30,000 already, including >11,400 children - in 11 weeks. 1000 kids a week. 150 per day.

This is a genocide. and ethnic cleansing. 96% of the population has been forcibly displaced. 1.5% killed.

For the sake of empathy, I ask you all to take a second to consider things from the perspective of Conservatives:

Inflation is out of control. Housing is unaffordable. The healthcare system is broken. Everyone is drowning in student debt. Ecosystems are collapsing. We're constantly on the brink of war.

So naturally, one would ask, how can we even hope to solve these daunting and complex issues if we do not have detailed information on the genitals of every American citizen?

Ddespite occasionally admitting that #profits & imports might be contributing to #inflation we're back to the tired old narrative that its #workers are to blame.

The Bank & economists in the City of London are still talking about #wage rises being 'worryingly high' (not their's of course) and so we cannot expect #InterestRates to go down any time soon!

Given profits have 'recovered' but real wages remain below pre-2010 levels, I think its fair to say this is about cementing low-wage Britain!

@fkamiah17@toot.wales I’ve only seen excerpts on Twitter. Couldn’t bring myself to watch Baddiel’s “documentary”.

@fkamiah17@toot.wales He was simpering at Baddiel - that's when my doubts started.
