Still pondering Angela Merkel's admission that the Minsk Agreements were intended to buy NATO time to build Ukraine for war with Russia.

Then soon after, Francois Hollande's confirmation of Merkel's comments.

Both former heads of state, not present ones; not Sholz/ Macron?

Remember: when supporters of Israel say it is held to a different standard to other countries, they’re right (!) Because I for one can’t think of of any other foreign country where a UK MP is *ordered* to apologize for being ‘insensitive’ to that foreign country’s government.

The pretext of the war will now be used to dismantle the social safety net in Europe and create mass austerity to feed the war industry.

European capitalists will be thrilled since a social safety net is what sets the bar for the quality of working conditions.

As we see in US, when you create horrific conditions for the unemployed then people will be willing to accept slightly less horrific conditions at work.

Once again a patient with upper respiratory symptoms just told me they do not have Covid because they had a negative home Covid test. A positive test is pretty reliable in saying Covid is present but a negative test (especially if not doing serial tests) does not rule out Covid. Still limit contact with others and wear a high quality mask. Even if not Covid, there is no point in spreading other viruses to others.

#JeremyHunt's tactics on the 'economically inactive' vary by age & #class!:

'If you’re off work because you’re spending more time on the golf course, you could get tax breaks. If you left your job because you were diagnosed with Parkinson’s, you may get a call from the fraud squad. The government is trying a carrot & stick approach to fix the labour gap, except the over-50s get the carrot & the long-term sick get the stick'!

The #Tories moral universe in one story!

if Rishi Sunak wants to bring some integrity into his corrupt flatlining Government he should really consider the lettuce

I've been listening to a concentration playlist track on Amazon music

By far the weirdest thing is the whale song

It's not helping me concentrate in the slightest but it's strangely compelling

Fuck the economy, I care far more about people.

Doing nothing to prevent infections isn’t very bright. We are causing high levels of long term disability. This is causing labour shortages and also adding to inflation. The policy of pretending covid is over is damaging our economy.

"Ninety years on from the Enablement Act that gave rise to the most monstrous political movement in history, Britain is about to replicate the frightful final flourishes from the Nazi playbook on establishing a fascist authoritarian regime..."

Terrible predatory forces are eating away at the country. The corporatists, militarists and political mandarins that serve them are the enemy. It is not our job to make them more appealing, but to destroy them.

What exactly are we going to replace the ECHR with? Three middle-aged blokes called Barry wearing string vests in a Lancashire Wetherspoons?

Ignore this piece of crap Government’s outrageous lies about ambulance workers & stand shoulder to shoulder with them

@Baddiel The man on the right has spent the last 8 years smearing the man on the left as racist. And people take him seriously.

That's how f*cked up this country is.

Corbyn has 'unconscious bias' claims Baddiel, neatly encapsulating the sheer absurdity of the hate campaign against Corbyn.
How does Baddiel know what's in Corbyn's head?
It's almost as if Baddiel has 'unconscious bias' against Corbyn...
It all just gets sillier and sillier.
