The Hitchhiker’s Guide was famously written by correspondents like Ford Prefect. It wasn’t an #AI that made shit up based on some random sub-ether drivel. As a result, it was useful.
God, #DouglasAdams would have fucking hated #ElonMusk.
Curiously enough, an edition of The Guide that fell through a time warp from a thousand years in the future defined the executive board of X as “a bunch of mindless jerks who were the first against the wall when the revolution came”.
The thrust of the article is that the current perception that Israel controls the US is actually relatively new. This also means that we don't have to look at it as a monolith and feel helpless. There were many times in the past it was reined in and we can argue that it can be put back in its box without expecting US hegemony to have to fall first.
Demonstrates Israel doesn’t have the chokehold some folks claim it does.

@jonlang a codified constitution might well have stopped Brexit in its tracks. It would’ve said things like a 2/3 majority for constitutional change, for example. Instead we get tiny numbers that somehow elect large numbers of MPs controlling how everyone else lives their lives
