@allenholub Every org is different and needs to find adaptive patterns that work for it. Recipes are at best guidelines and sources of ideas, etc. etc.
Can only build large complex systems from smaller ones that already work etc. etc.
@allenholub you need an exemplar of a small team that's successfully being agile so you can scale it. Until you can demonstrate consistency and success there's nothing to scale. I've never believed in SAFe, and never heard anything good tbh.
The pretext of the war will now be used to dismantle the social safety net in Europe and create mass austerity to feed the war industry.
European capitalists will be thrilled since a social safety net is what sets the bar for the quality of working conditions.
As we see in US, when you create horrific conditions for the unemployed then people will be willing to accept slightly less horrific conditions at work.
Once again a patient with upper respiratory symptoms just told me they do not have Covid because they had a negative home Covid test. A positive test is pretty reliable in saying Covid is present but a negative test (especially if not doing serial tests) does not rule out Covid. Still limit contact with others and wear a high quality mask. Even if not Covid, there is no point in spreading other viruses to others.
#JeremyHunt's tactics on the 'economically inactive' vary by age & #class!:
'If you’re off work because you’re spending more time on the golf course, you could get tax breaks. If you left your job because you were diagnosed with Parkinson’s, you may get a call from the fraud squad. The government is trying a carrot & stick approach to fix the labour gap, except the over-50s get the carrot & the long-term sick get the stick'!
The #Tories moral universe in one story!
@thomasfuchs applets made me think around 2000
@esther capitalism is built on ownership and therefore inequality. The systems we suffer under come out of this engine. You can’t have massive wealth without disgusting poverty. The relative comfort in the global north is also built on obscene amounts of suffering in the south that we never see.
At the same time, it’s riven with untamed instability and crisis used to beat the 99% with and keep them down. Along with actual murder and violence, of course.
@rbreich in Britain they keep reviving the 1970 “wage price spiral” nonsense. The words are the wrong way round. No-one has had a wage rise.

@CyberpunkLibrarian it also shows how durable stuff was before planned obsolescence.
Fuck the economy, I care far more about people.

Doing nothing to prevent infections isn’t very bright. We are causing high levels of long term disability. This is causing labour shortages and also adding to inflation. The policy of pretending covid is over is damaging our economy.

Terrible predatory forces are eating away at the country. The corporatists, militarists and political mandarins that serve them are the enemy. It is not our job to make them more appealing, but to destroy them.
